Using Tags To Bootstrap Stereotypes And Trust ( Extended
نویسنده
چکیده
Agents joining multi-agent systems (MAS) face two significant problems: they do not know who to trust and others do not know if they are trustworthy. Our contribution extends trust and stereotype approaches to use a comparison of agents’ observable features, called tags, as an initial indication of expected behaviour. The results show an improvement in agents’ rewards in the early stages of their lifetimes, prior to having su cient information to use trust or stereotype methods.

متن کاملA priori trust inference with context-aware stereotypical deep learning
In multi-agent systems, stereotypical trust models are widely used to bootstrap a priori trust in case historical trust evidences are unavailable. These models can work well if and only if malicious agents share some common features (i.e., stereotypes) in their profiles and these features can be detected. However, this condition may not hold for all the adversarial scenarios. Smart attackers ca...
متن کاملBootstrapping trust and stereotypes with tags
In real-world environments, cooperation often emerges amongst agents who are observably similar. Estimating the expected behaviour of another agent is a challenging problem, particularly for new agents who have little or no experience of others. In this paper, we show how observable features can be used to find similar, and hence cooperative, partners. Our contribution extends trust and stereot...
متن کاملContext Sensitive Trust Management
We highlight the focuses of attention within the trust management literature, and reviewed various accounts of situationaware trust judgment in [7]. In [4] we propose a hierarchical Bayesian reputation algorithm for trust management and a method based on maximum likelihood estimation to bootstrap trust with unfamiliar agents based on stereotypes and context information. We give a more comprehen...
متن کاملA Trust-region Method using Extended Nonmonotone Technique for Unconstrained Optimization
In this paper, we present a nonmonotone trust-region algorithm for unconstrained optimization. We first introduce a variant of the nonmonotone strategy proposed by Ahookhosh and Amini cite{AhA 01} and incorporate it into the trust-region framework to construct a more efficient approach. Our new nonmonotone strategy combines the current function value with the maximum function values in some pri...
